The strip clubs in Jax fall into two main categories. There are the nude clubs with no alcohol and the bikini clubs with full alcohol bars. A few clubs have tried experimenting with going topless and serving alcohol, but vice cracks down on them fairly quickly. The nude clubs all operate on the same principle unless otherwise stated in the individual review. Sets are a single song and the dancer keeps her clothes on unless she gets at least $3. Most dancers will remove their top at this point. When she gets $5 she will finish stripping. The code says that you cannot hand a nude dancer a tip so money is left on the edge of the stage or thrown onto the stage. The bikini clubs vary more in how they operate. Some places have multiple stages and dancers will do one song on each so that you see a new dancer each song. In the clubs with a single stage dancer sets are one song. Dancers are required to wear bottoms that cover the buttocks. Tops are required to cover the "breasts below a point immediately above the top of the areola." The Adult Entertainment and Services Code is rather large and detailed. It took 24 pages when I printed it out in 6pt or 8pt font, (I can't remember which I used). It forbids any sexual activity either real or simulated, private booths of any type, straddling of a customer, frottage, touching a dancer's breasts or between her waist and knee. It even forbids the display of the "male genitals in a discernibly turgid state, even if completely and opaquely covered" by customers. It gets worse but I'm not going to go into any more detail.
